Miss America thus far

Every girl dreams of being in the spot light. And boy, did my dreams come true. I arrived in Atlantic City on Tuesday, and I went to the first night of prelims! AMAZING TALENT!!!!!!! Rebecca did amazing in Swimsuit and evening wear!!! On Wednesday the 38 outstanding teens and I who came to Miss America did a practice! It was so hard to pay attention because all just wanted to sit and talk and gossip and freak out! Wednesday night the outstanding teens performed a revision of our MOATeen opening number! It was so much fun!!!!!!!!!! It was like we were back on stage performing(: Rebecca did amazing in talent(: ill come back to that one (:
Thursday (today) my outstanding teens and I went sight seeing(: first we hit Lucy the giant elephant! Lucy is 6 story's tall and built in the late 1800s. You can tour inside the elephant and the eyes are windows to over look the Atlantic Ocean! Lucy was built to help real estate agents land deals on houses in the area! Lucy has been moved three times to get to where she is today next to the boardwalk! The manager told me that they just take peanuts and lure her to her new home(: then he told me that every three months Lucy walks to the ocean grabs a drink of water and then she's for for the next three months(: Lucy loved taking pictures with all of us(: After we said goodbye to Lucy we headed over to the local Gillette Children's Hospital specialty care out patient clinic! We had the opportunity to tour the facility and make cards And little gift bags with colored pencils and crayons in the bag!(: we loved knowing that a little girl or boy would smile because of us(: incredible feeling! After the hospital we went to the Miss America museum in the Sheraton Hotel (where I am staying) it was so cool to see the difference in style of gowns over the years! Do you know how many times they've changed the miss America crown? ALOT! We headed off to rainforest cafe to enjoy an absolutely delicious meal! Next we went to the brand new Miss America store and we shopped and shopped and shopped!(: we ended the day with some more shopping at the Miss America trade show! I would like to thank the entire Miss New Jersey committee for putting forth the time and effort to making this day and making it absolutely incredible! I just got back to my hotel after watching Rebecca compete in On stage question during the third night of prelims! She was able to talk about her brother- Phil- and you could sense her pride, her joy, and her compassion! Three of the qualities Miss America should have. Tonight we also "crowned" Miss America 1928/1929 The "winner" was ITKA!!! (No last name and she's ageless) Itka is a holocaust survivor and she has written a book on amazon titled- "you only have what you give away. She's an amazing woman!
You know how my mom has three daughters- each has a crown! Well we always joke that she's the "queen mum". Welllllll I bought her a tiara and I crowned my mommy (in front of all the outstanding teens an well everyone who was in the room) the OFFICIAL Miss Minnesota Queen Mum! (: Finally!
Okay! Back to Rebecca's talent! She walked out on stage and I immediately was breathless! She performed and I don't think I breathed the entire time and I'm pretty sure the two girls next to me now have broken hands from me squeezing so hard. When they announced preliminary talents I heard the one name I've Been waiting to hear. Talent preliminary award winner- miss MINNESOTA REBECCA YEH! I've never screamed so loud in my life!!!!! I'm so proud of my big sister! I can't wait tillthe  miss america crown is placed on her head In a matter of two days!

Oh yeah and btw... I met the designer of my green evening gown!!! MACDUGGAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMGGGGG
